Last month we welcomed Pete Luffman, Chief Instructor of the Bristol Kettlebell Club and a Strongfirst instructor to Dorchester Strength and Conditioning to conduct a Hardstyle Kettlebell seminar for some of our members.
The seminar started with the HardStyle Double Swing, we spent time working on the correct hinge mechanics and bracing techniques which were very different the Crossfit style swing we normally do during workout outs
We then progressed onto the Single Swing, Clean, Press and Turiskish Get Up, along with some very interesting training drills which included TGU while balancing a shoe on a closed fist and some bottom up pressing movements.
I’m very pleased to report the seminar was a huge success and we will be hosting Pete again shortly to cover the Snatch and other Kettlebell techniques.
Also a huge thank you to Pete for making the journey from Bristol and sharing his knowledge of Kettlebells.
